Salted herring is always a popular product on the festive and everyday table. It can be offered simply peeled and cut into appetizing chunks on a plate, or it can be used as an ingredient in a dish, such as a snack.
It is necessary
- - 3 slightly salted herrings;
- - 5 potato tubers, large size;
- - 3 small carrots;
- - 3 beets;
- - 2 onions, medium size;
- - 3 pcs. chicken eggs;
- - 3 sprigs of parsley;
- - 200 grams of mayonnaise;
- - 3 tablespoons of green peas (canned);
- - salt and ground pepper - to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Carefully remove the skin from the herring, remove the insides and rinse in cold running water. Then the fillets are separated from the bones and cut into small cubes.
Step 2
Carrots, beets and potatoes are thoroughly washed in water and boiled until tender. Then peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater (can be cut into small cubes).
Step 3
Eggs are boiled, peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater. Peel the onion, wash it with running water, cut it into small pieces and put it in boiling water for two minutes.
Step 4
Layered herring fillets in a deep dish, then potatoes, onions, eggs, carrots and beets. Each of the layers is lightly salted and smeared with mayonnaise.
Step 5
The finished dish is placed in the refrigerator for four hours so that it is well saturated, after which it is decorated with herbs and sprinkled with green peas on top.
