A horseradish snack is a traditional preparation of Russians for the winter. Despite the spicy taste, this appetizer has taken its firm place on the tables of the Russian people. Another name for this snack is crap. There are three main ingredients in the classic recipe for a shitty snack: tomatoes, horseradish and garlic. Due to the latter components, horseradish is also an excellent antimicrobial agent, protects the human body from colds in the autumn-winter period.

It is necessary

  • - 3 kg of ripe red tomatoes;
  • - 300 g horseradish root;
  • - 300 g of garlic;
  • - 1, 5 tablespoons of salt;
  • - an enameled pan;
  • - meat grinder or food processor;
  • - glass jars;
  • - metal covers.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients you need. Wash and clean the horseradish root. Cut the large horseradish roots into several pieces. Peel the garlic. Wash the tomatoes and remove the stalks.

Step 2

Cut the tomatoes into quarters. Pass the tomato slices through a meat grinder or chop with a food processor. Place the chopped tomatoes in a deep saucepan. Add minced garlic and horseradish roots to the saucepan to the tomatoes.

Step 3

Stir the contents of the pot thoroughly. Cover the pot with a lid and let it sit for eight to ten hours.

Step 4
