Naval pasta is a classic dish, the main components of which are pasta cooked to the Al dente state and fried minced meat. This pasta preparation first became known in the Middle Ages, when this dish was especially popular among sailors-travelers, as it included products that did not require special storage.

It is necessary

  • - 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • - 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • - 300 g pasta
  • - 1 onion, garlic
  • - 600 g ground beef
  • - salt pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Boil the pasta, as indicated on the package, in a sufficient amount of slightly salted water. Prepare the minced meat, for this, wash 600 g of beef fillet, cut into pieces and chop in a meat grinder, chop half a head of onion in the same way.

Step 2

Season the minced meat with pepper and salt and mix well. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, sauté half a head of finely chopped onion and chopped garlic with a press for 5 minutes, then add the cooked minced meat and, stirring it with a spatula, fry together with vegetables for 10-12 minutes.

Step 3

Put 2 tablespoons of tomato paste in the fried minced meat and pour everything with half a glass of water or broth, and simmer the minced meat for another 5 minutes. Drain the broth from the finished pasta, transfer them to the frying pan for the minced meat and simmer under a closed lid for 5 minutes. Before serving, you can decorate the navy-style pasta with chopped cheese and chopped herbs.
