Only at first glance it might seem that making a casserole with pasta and mushrooms is easy. In fact, the taste of a dish depends a lot on how you boil the pasta.
To make a casserole of pasta with mushrooms, you will need the following ingredients: 300 g of pasta, 300-400 g of mushrooms, 3-4 eggs, 100 ml of milk, 1 medium head of onion, bread crumbs, 100 g of hard cheese, black pepper, turmeric, paprika, salt, 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil for frying and greasing the mold.
The champignons are washed in running water and cut into thin slices. Heat 2 tbsp in a dry frying pan. l. vegetable oil and fry mushrooms in it over medium heat. Onions are peeled and chopped into small cubes. The onions are added to the mushrooms and the ingredients are continued to cook. Before the end of frying, the mushrooms are salted and pepper. You can use paprika or turmeric to taste.
It is not necessary to bring the onions and mushrooms to readiness, as they will have to be baked in the oven.
Water is poured into a saucepan and put on high heat. For 100 g of pasta, you must take at least 1 liter of water. If you boil pasta in a smaller amount of liquid, they stick together.
Dip the pasta in boiling salted water and mix thoroughly so that they do not stick to the bottom. You can prevent clumping by adding a tablespoon of vegetable oil to the saucepan. The container is closed with a lid for half a minute. As soon as the water boils again, the lid is quickly removed and the heat is reduced to medium.
It is recommended to cook pasta from durum wheat for 10-12 minutes. You can determine readiness by tasting pasta. If a mealy layer is clearly visible at the site of the bite, the pasta is not yet ready. At the same time, you should not overcook the product, since in this case, instead of pasta, you will get a boiled sticky mass. The finished pasta is poured onto a sieve and washed with clean boiling water. Before rinsing, it is advisable to heat the sieve so that it does not take away the heat of the cooked dish.
You shouldn't skimp on the quality of the product. Premium pasta made from durum wheat, even with an inexperienced housewife, is unlikely to turn into porridge.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and sprinkle with bread crumbs. This is necessary so that the casserole is easily removed from the mold. At the bottom of the baking sheet, spread half of the cooked pasta in an even layer. Then fried mushrooms and onions are placed on the pasta. The mushrooms are covered with a layer of the remaining pasta. Beat the chicken egg with milk until smooth. You can add a little salt, spices and pepper to an impromptu sauce.
Pour pasta with sauce, trying to evenly saturate the ingredients. If the sauce is not enough, you will have to spend another egg and half a glass of milk to prepare the additive. Hard cheese is grated on a coarse grater and sprinkled with pasta. The oven is heated to 180 ° C and the baking sheet is placed on a medium level. Baking will continue for about 30 minutes.
The surface of the finished casserole can be greased with butter and sprinkled with plenty of fresh herbs. An excellent addition to the pasta casserole with mushrooms will be a spicy tomato sauce. The dish is served hot, laid out in portioned plates.
