It is necessary

    • 1 kg of mackerel;
    • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon salt
    • 1 onion;
    • 1 lemon slice
    • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
    • 3 tablespoons of cream;
    • 1 egg;
    • 2 tomatoes;
    • green onions
    • dill
    • parsley
    • or
    • mackerel;
    • lemon;
    • salt;
    • pepper;
    • dill;
    • spinach.

Instructions

Step 1

Gut 1 kg of mackerel, cut off the heads and tails. Rinse the fish well under running water.

Step 2

Place the prepared fish in a saucepan. Add to it 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, a bunch of dill, a slice of lemon and an onion, cut into two parts. Pour water into a saucepan so that it is 3-4 cm higher than the mackerel.

Step 3

Put the saucepan on the fire, bring its contents to a boil and continue simmering until the fish is tender.

Step 4

Leave the prepared mackerel in the resulting brine for 6-8 hours. Then remove the skin from the mackerel, separate the fillet from the bones, cut into pieces 3-4 cm wide and put in a deep salad bowl or herring.

Step 5

Mix 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of cream. Add 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley and green onions. Mix everything and cover the mackerel with this sauce.

Step 6

Garnish with slices of 2 tomatoes and 1 hard-boiled egg. A delicious dish is ready.

Step 7

Make herb stuffed mackerel. For the filling, rinse the dill and spinach and chop finely. Add the grated zest of 1 lemon to the herbs.

Step 8

Free the gutted mackerel carcass without the head and tail from the bones and spread it skin side down on the table. Season the fillet with salt and pepper, pour over it with lemon juice.

Step 9

Place the filling evenly on one half of the fillet, cover with the other half. Wrap the mackerel tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet.

Bake the mackerel in the oven at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Cut the finished fish into portions and serve with boiled or baked potatoes.
