The homeland of Paratha cakes is India. This dish is cooked there quite often. I suggest you do this too. Taste these delicious and delicate tortillas.
It is necessary
- - flour - 230 g;
- - vegetable oil - 40 ml;
- - warm water - 100 ml;
- - salt - a pinch;
- - potatoes - 2-3 pcs.;
- - green onions - 2 tablespoons;
- - fresh cilantro - 1 tablespoon;
- - parsley - 1 tablespoon;
- - pepper - to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour wheat flour into a separate and rather deep bowl, mix with a pinch of salt. Add vegetable oil and warm water there. After turning the mass into a homogeneous mass, knead a soft dough out of it. When it's done, wrap it in plastic or cling film and set it aside for an hour.
Step 2
Meanwhile, after peeling, boil the potatoes. When it's ready, mash it until smooth, that is, turn it into a puree, then combine with the following ingredients: chopped green onions, cilantro and parsley. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste and mix well. The filling for Paratha flat cakes is ready. Divide it into 5 equal parts.
Step 3
Dividing the dough into 5 equal pieces, roll out slightly. Place the filling on each of the obtained tortillas. Gently pinch the dough so that its edges are exactly in the center.
Step 4
Gently roll the formed stuffed tortillas to a minimum thickness. If suddenly you have air bubbles on one of them, pierce them.
Step 5
After heating a dry skillet, place the cake on top of it. Fry it for a minute. When it expires, turn the dish over to the other side, having previously greased it with vegetable oil. Cook again for a minute. Repeat this procedure. Do this with all the cakes.
Step 6
Put the fried dough with the filling in a loose bowl. Paratha cakes are ready!
