The ancient Celts believed that on October 31, the ghosts of the dead return to earth. To ward off the spirits, huge bonfires were burned and animals were killed. Modern Halloween is not at all like the old Celtic one, but just like the ancient Celts, on this day they traditionally dress up in costumes and hold noisy parties. Children especially love Halloween. I propose to cook some simple, but very "scary" dishes for this holiday.
Instructions
Step 1
Cute mummies
These mummies are nothing more than regular hot dogs. To prepare them, you will need sausages, ready-made puff pastry and a little bit of mustard. Defrost the puff pastry, roll out the layers slightly and cut them into strips. Wrap the sausage with strips of dough two-thirds so that they are on the previous layer. Make a hat from a small piece of dough and put it on the nipple. Place the mummies on a baking sheet previously oiled with vegetable oil and place in a preheated oven. The mummies are ready when the dough turns golden. Place the baked sausages on a platter. Use a toothpick to paint eyes and smiles on the mummies.
Step 2
Bread scary
Roll out the finished yeast dough and cut out a cast figurine. Cut out holes for the eyes, big mouth. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the tortilla on both sides until golden brown.
Step 3
Frankenstein mozzarella
Round mozzarella cheese will be nothing more than a monster's head. Use the greenery to style his hair. The mouth will be made from a piece of red bell pepper, and the eyes will be made from olives. The original appetizer is ready.
Step 4
Sweet monsters
Making them as easy as shelling pears. Take a white marshmallow and a special food grade marker. Draw monster faces on the marshmallow with the children. All of them will turn out to be different and not at all scary.
Step 5
Potion drink
Prepare the potion before serving. Unlike traditional witch recipes, this drink contains juice and marmalade. Kids love the worm-shaped gummies that can be purchased at any grocery store. Pour the juice into a jar, pour the worms into it and stir. A terribly scary, tasty and healthy potion is ready.
