Ingredients:

  • 9 sweet peppers (green);
  • 500 g minced pork and beef;
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • 3 tablespoons of homemade sour cream;
  • salt and black pepper;
  • sunflower oil.

Preparation:

  1. Rinse the rice until the water is clear, boil until tender, discard in a colander and rinse a little again.
  2. Wash the whole pepper, cut in half, removing the stalks, partitions and seeds.
  3. Peel and wash onions and carrots. Dice the onion and grate the carrots.
  4. Pour sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it. Put the onion cubes in the oil and fry them until golden brown. Then put the carrots there, mix with the onions and fry until half cooked.
  5. Put the minced meat in a bowl and knead until smooth. Add vegetable frying and boiled rice to it, season everything with salt and pepper, mix thoroughly.
  6. Fill the pepper halves with minced meat and generously grease with homemade sour cream. Note that the greasing process can be done not immediately, but only after all the pepper has been placed on a baking sheet.
  7. Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices.
  8. Grease a baking sheet with oil. Put the halves of the peppers on the butter, shifting them with tomato slices. In other words, tomato slices should be added to the salt and spread directly on a baking sheet in the empty space between the halves of the peppers. The stuffed pepper will also take salt from the tomatoes, so the main thing here is not to oversalt.
  9. Send the baking sheet to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  10. After this time, remove the ready-made pepper with tomato slices from the oven, put on a dish and serve with your favorite side dish, sour cream, fresh vegetables or salad.
