When it came time to prepare, I remembered how I loved canned homemade salads during my student days, and made several options, including this one.
It is necessary
- For 2.5 kg of tomatoes:
- - celery stalks - 30 g,
- - onions - 100 g,
- - hot pepper - 1 pc.,
- - water -750 ml,
- - vinegar (8%) - 450 ml,
- - salt -10 g,
- - sugar - 10 g.

Step 1
Sort the tomatoes, select medium-sized strong ripe tomatoes, wash and cut into slices. Peel and cut onions into thin rings, celery into pieces, wash and dry hot peppers.
Step 2
Wash glass jars with soda, pour over boiling water or sterilize with steam, dry. Place a pod of hot pepper on the bottom of the jar, then layers of tomato slices, onion rings and celery. Dissolve salt and sugar in water, bring to a boil, cool, add vinegar.
Step 3
Pour marinade jars, cover and sterilize: 0.5 liter jars - 7 minutes, 1 liter - 12 minutes. Roll up, wrap up until it cools completely. The temperature of the water during sterilization should be 15-20 ° C higher than the temperature inside the glass container.
