Food preparation

This pumpkin pie recipe includes: 200 g of second grade wheat flour, 700 g of pumpkin, 200 ml of condensed milk, 100 g of butter, 3 chicken eggs, 5 tbsp. l. granulated sugar, 2 tsp. fresh grated ginger, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. ground cloves, 1/4 tsp. salt.

Making the cake

To make pumpkin pie, first prepare the ingredients for the dough. In a deep bowl, combine flour with 3 tbsp. l. sugar and 1/4 tsp. salt. Cut the softened butter into cubes and add to the flour mixture. Grind the butter and flour with your hands until fine crumbs form. Beat 1 egg into the mixture and knead the dough. Wrap the resulting dough with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Prepare the pie filling at this time. Peel and dice the pumpkin, place in a steamer or multicooker and steam for 20 minutes. Next, cool the vegetable, then place in a deep bowl. Break 2 eggs into the same container. Using a blender, grind the pumpkin and eggs into a smooth puree. Pour the condensed milk into the puree and add the spices, mix the filling with a whisk.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it into a thin layer, then put it in a baking dish, form the base and sides. Place beans or other weighting material on the bottom of the mold. Send the dough into an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake for 15 minutes.

After the time has passed, remove the form from the oven, fill the base with pumpkin filling. Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool baked goods to room temperature before serving.
