Louisiana-style salmon is a juicy and tender dish with a bright, unforgettable taste. It is prepared very simply and from the most affordable products. With this recipe, along with vegetables and spices, even budget fillets of pink salmon can be turned into an exquisite dish suitable for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 0.7 kg fillet of pink salmon or salmon;
  • 1 red onion;
  • ½ lemon;
  • ½ chili pepper;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • ½ tsp ginger or 2 cm fresh ginger;
  • salt or soy sauce;
  • 1 tsp mixtures of thyme, oregano, sage and rosemary;
  • 4 tbsp. l. olive oil;
  • black pepper.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the fillet of pink salmon or salmon into pieces 3-4 cm wide.
  2. Make 2-3 shallow cuts on each piece of fish. Then put all the pieces in a bowl, season with salt, pepper and a mixture of spices, pour 2 tbsp. l. olive oil and stir until the spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Leave the fish with spices and oil for 15-25 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, you can make a sauce to bake the fish fillets. Either pass the red onion, half a lemon and half a pepper through a meat grinder or grind with a blender.
  5. Peel two cloves of garlic, pass through the garlic and put in the chopped onion mass. Add 2 tbsp. l. oils, salt and a little lemon juice. Stir this sauce until smooth and place in an even layer in a small baking dish.
  6. On top of the sauce, evenly spread the fish fillet pieces, placing them with the skin on the sauce.
  7. Send the prepared dish to the oven preheated to 220 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Remove the cooked Louisiana-style salmon from the oven, transfer to a dish along with the vegetable sauce, garnish with any herbs and serve. Note that this dish is very good in itself, but it also goes well with any side dish. Therefore, for a change, it is recommended to serve it with any preferred side dish, as well as a salad of fresh vegetables and cabbage.
