Pea soup has great nutritional value. Therefore, it is recommended to include it in the menu during the cold season. The method of preparing a dish depends on a person's taste preferences and on his state of health. If you are a fan of rich soup, you can use pork, lamb, beef or smoked meats for the broth. Otherwise, use chicken, turkey, rabbit, or just vegetable oil.

- chicken - 300 g;
- potatoes - 2 pieces;
- carrots - 1 piece;
- onion - 1 piece;
- vegetable oil;
- bay leaf - 2 pieces;

Instructions
Step 1
Soak the required amount of peas overnight. This will shorten the cooking time and improve the taste by removing the invisible film from the peas.
Step 2
Pour clean cold water into a pot of peas and place on the hotplate. Before boiling, remove the froth, cover the saucepan and cook the peas over very low heat for an hour.
Step 3
In the meantime, take the chicken fillet, rinse under running water and cut into portions. After the above time has elapsed, place the meat in the peas and continue to cook for 30 minutes. Do not forget to descale.
Step 4
Peel the carrots and onions. Pour vegetable oil into a skillet and add diced carrots to it. Fry lightly. Chop the onions finely and place in the pan, save until golden brown.
Step 5
Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and add to the pot as soon as the chicken is cooked through. Remove the froth before boiling. Season the soup with the required amount of salt.
Step 6
Put fried onions and carrots, bay leaves, peppercorns in a saucepan. Cook the soup for another 5-7 minutes and let it brew.
Step 7
Sprinkle with finely chopped parsley, dill, cilantro and green onions before serving. Pea soup goes well with bread crumbs or black bread.
