It is quite simple to prepare mustard at home, you can buy mustard powder, pour it with boiled water to the required consistency and let it brew for a certain time. But you can add variety to the usual mustard flavor by adding some ingredients.
It is necessary
- - one quarter cup mustard powder;
- - a quarter glass of any light beer;
- - brine (suitable for any pickles) - a quarter of a glass;
- - one teaspoon of turmeric;
- - one egg;
- - one and a half teaspoon of salt;
- - one teaspoon of starch;
- - half a teaspoon of lemon juice;
- - sugar - half a teaspoon.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix beer with brine and pour the resulting mixture into mustard, add turmeric very carefully and mix. Leave the resulting mass overnight in the refrigerator, having previously covered the top with cling film.
Step 2
A water bath is prepared in advance: water is poured into a saucepan, four centimeters high, and placed on the stove. An egg is added to the mustard mass and mixed. Pour in salt, sugar, starch and gently mix again.
Step 3
Put the dishes with the resulting mixture in a water bath and cook until a thick consistency for about four to six minutes.
