  • For filling:
  • - one large onion;
  • - 250-300 grams of beef fillet;
  • - salt (to taste).

Step 1

Put yeast in a deep bowl, add sugar, warm water and stir thoroughly (stir until all the sugar is dissolved).

Add one glass of flour to the resulting mixture, stir. Cover the bowl with a towel and place in a warm place for 30 minutes (during this time, the dough should rise twice, if this has not happened, then leave the dough for a few more minutes in a warm place).

Step 2

After the dough has risen, gently add salt, vegetable oil and another glass of flour to it. Stir everything until smooth and put the bowl back in a warm place (the bowl must be closed).

Step 3

Pass the beef fillet two or three times through a meat grinder. Peel the onion, rinse, chop finely and fry in a little oil until golden brown. As soon as the onion acquires a delicious golden color, add the ground beef to it, salt and fry everything over medium heat until the minced meat is fully cooked (this takes about 15-20 minutes).

Step 4

Take a bowl of dough, add the remaining flour (1/4 cup) to it, stir. Lubricate the work surface with vegetable oil and lightly dust with flour. Form small cakes from the dough and place them on a work surface (the dough turns out to be quite sticky, so before working with it, you need to grease your hands with vegetable oil).

Put two teaspoons of the cooled meat filling in the middle of each flatbread, then gently close the edges of the pies.

Step 5

Preheat a frying pan, pour in non-oil and fry the resulting pies on both sides. Roasting time on each side is two to three minutes. Fried meat pies are ready.
