A better breakfast than porridge, perhaps, has not yet been invented. It nourishes, warms, energizes and at the same time soothes, setting you up for a long new day. With state-of-the-art kitchen technology, cooking just got easier. Make a simple semolina porridge in a multicooker with milk in one of two ways, or cook it with a fruit compote.
Semolina porridge in a slow cooker with milk
Ingredients (for 2 people):
- 1, 5 Art. milk;
- 2 tbsp. semolina;
- 1 tbsp. Sahara;
- a pinch of salt;
- 10 g butter.
Pour milk into the multicooker bowl. Bring it to a boil with the Steam setting on the display, then toss in the salt and sugar. Let the milk boil again, then add the semolina and mix everything thoroughly with a plastic spatula or spoon.
To prevent frothed milk from spilling out and into the steam valve, place a rim on the inside of the bowl with a piece of butter about 5 cm higher than the still liquid.
After the third boil, add butter to the porridge. Close the lid of the multicooker and turn it off. Leave the dish to sit for 15 minutes. Divide the semolina into bowls and serve with fruits, berries, jam, condensed milk, or chocolate chunks.
Semolina porridge in a slow cooker: a simple recipe
Ingredients (for 4 people):
- 3 tbsp. milk;
- 1 tbsp. water;
- 4-5 tbsp. semolina;
- 3 tbsp. Sahara;
- 20 g butter.
In this recipe, the cooking temperature is low, up to 90oC. To protect yourself and your loved ones from harmful microbes, use pasteurized milk and boiled water.
Combine water and milk in a multicooker container. Select the "Porridge" mode and press "Start". Mix the cereal with sugar and add it to the heated liquid after 10 minutes. Stir everything and lower the lid.
By default, the running program implies an hour of cooking, but for semolina, 35 minutes is more than enough. Stop cooking forcibly 25 minutes after adding bulk ingredients. Divide the dish into portions and season each portion with butter.
