Indian cuisine is unique! The unusual combination of products, spices and the way they are prepared makes Indian dishes look like nothing else. And the desserts are very diverse and have a unique taste. I suggest making an Indian dessert "Laddu" from pea flour. The taste of the dessert will not leave anyone indifferent.
It is necessary
- - pea flour - 1 glass;
- - butter - 125 g;
- - sugar - 75 g;
- - ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp;
- - ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp;
- - cashew nuts - 20-30 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Pea flour can be bought ready-made, or you can cook it yourself. To do this, take dry peas and grind them in a coffee grinder to a flour state. Sift the resulting flour through a fine sieve.
Step 2
Take a skillet with a thick bottom (a cast iron skillet is ideal) and reheat without adding oil. Pour the flour into a skillet and saute over high heat until the flour turns light brown. During frying, the flour must be constantly stirred to avoid burning. Usually the roasting time is about 15-20 minutes. Turn off the gas and put the flour in a cool place. It should cool down a little.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a saucepan, add sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer the mixture over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Take a frying pan with cooled flour and pour hot butter with spices into the flour in small portions. The flour must be constantly stirred so that the oil is evenly distributed and does not become a lump. You should get a homogeneous mass of dark brown color. While hot, transfer to a silicone container. Sprinkle nuts on top and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Before serving, carefully remove the ladda from the container and cut into small pieces. Dessert is ready!
