    • For the third recipe:
    • lingonberry - 1 glass;
    • balsamic vinegar - 2 tablespoons;
    • sugar - 1 tablespoon;
    • garlic - 1 clove;
    • dried thyme - a quarter teaspoon;
    • salt;
    • pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

For the simplest version of lingonberry sauce, rinse the berries. If using frozen lingonberries, thaw them. Pour boiling water over the berries and cook for fifteen minutes over medium heat.

Step 2

Mash the berries or rub through a sieve, add sugar and cook for five minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. This sauce will suit both meat dishes and sweet desserts.

Step 3

To make the lingonberry cinnamon sauce, wash the berries and select the leaves. Pour the prepared lingonberry with water and bring to a boil. Discard the berry in a colander. Pour the water in which the lingonberries were boiled into a bowl and chill.

Depending on the consistency of the sauce you need, chop the lingonberries in a blender or crush with a spoon. Perhaps the dish for which you are going to serve lingonberry sauce will look more impressive with a sauce in which the berries are visible.
