Stew in sour cream sauce is a worthy option for a full lunch or dinner. Thanks to mustard, it acquires a subtle spicy aftertaste, and sour cream, in turn, gives the dish juiciness and incredible tenderness. Moreover, any side dish is suitable for such a dish, which will make it even more satisfying. Try to cook it for your men. They will certainly not refuse and will be satisfied.
It is necessary
- - meat (pulp of beef or pork) - 500 g:
- - onions - 4 pcs.;
- - sour cream with a fat content of 20% - 180 g;
- - mustard - 1 tbsp. l.;
- - flour - 1 tbsp. l. without a slide;
- - bay leaves - 1-2 pcs.;
- - ground black pepper - 1 tsp;
- - salt;
- - sunflower oil for frying;
- - fresh herbs - optional;
- - deep frying pan.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the meat, pat dry with paper towels and cut into strips about 1.5 cm thick.
Step 2
Remove the husk from the onions and chop them in half rings. Take a deep frying pan, heat it up, then pour in the sunflower oil and heat it well.
Step 3
Now transfer the meat to the pan and fry it for 15 minutes, until all the juice has evaporated, until a golden brown crust forms. Add the onion, stir in the meat and fry until brownish in color.
Step 4
After that, add flour and quickly mix it with the contents of the pan so that no lumps form, and then pour in 200 ml of hot water. Once it boils, reduce the temperature to the lowest setting, cover and simmer beef for 50 minutes and pork for 40 minutes.
Step 5
When the allotted time comes to an end, in a separate small bowl, mix sour cream and mustard until smooth, and then transfer this mass to the meat and continue cooking for another half hour.
Step 6
Before removing the pan from the stove, add bay leaves, black ground pepper, salt to taste in 5-7 minutes and mix everything well.
Step 7
Serve the cooked stew with your favorite side dish, such as mashed potatoes, pea porridge, boiled rice or pasta, and sprinkle with a fragrant sauce. If desired, the food, already laid out on plates, can be sprinkled with fresh chopped herbs.
