Take a small skillet with high edges, pour a glass of water into it and bring to a boil. As soon as the water starts to boil, add sugar to it and stir. Cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the caramel thickens slightly and begins to darken.

To prepare this cake, you need iron molds. Arrange them on a baking sheet and cover evenly with hot caramel. Rotate the molds so that all the edges are caramelized. Let the caramel cool and harden.

In a small saucepan, combine the cream and milk and bring to a boil. In a blender, beat chicken eggs until thick foam, add sugar and zest to them. Combine eggs with milk, mix everything well. Add food coloring to the mixture. You can divide the mixture into several parts and paint each in its own color.
