Try to bake these classic Italian biscuits with a funny name! It is somewhat reminiscent of our dryers, only crisper and sweeter!
It is necessary
- Flour - 250 g;
- Baking powder - 1 tsp;
- A pinch of salt;
- Warm milk - 2 tablespoons;
- Sugar - 100 g;
- Vanilla sugar - 2 tablespoons;
- Softened butter - 100 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the butter from the refrigerator or freezer ahead of time to soften and warm to room temperature.
Step 2
Sift the flour with salt and baking powder into a spacious bowl, make a depression in the center of the resulting slide and put softened butter in it.
Step 3
Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar and 2 tablespoons of regular sugar to the butter. Pour in so much warm water that you can knead the plastic dough (add it a little at a time so as not to overdo it!).
Step 4
Roll the dough into a ball and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
Step 5
At this time, prepare a baking sheet, line it with baking paper and set the oven to warm up to 190 degrees.
Step 6
Take the chilled dough out of the refrigerator and pinch off pieces from it, which should be rolled into bundles about 10 cm long and 1 cm thick. Fasten the ends of the bundles and place the resulting "loops" on a prepared baking sheet. Brush the cookies with warm milk.
Sprinkle the cookies with the remaining sugar and place in the hot oven for 15-20 minutes until browning.
Step 7
Cookies (if you can resist eating them all at once, of course!) Should be stored in a container or glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
