Ingredients:

  • Frozen puff pastry - 800 g;
  • Low-fat cottage cheese - 400 g;
  • Frozen cherries, and preferably fresh - 400 g;
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons;
  • Sugar (you can take part of the usual and part of the vanilla) - half a glass;
  • Egg yolk - 1 pc;
  • Chocolate bar - 1 piece;
  • Sunflower oil for frying;
  • Flour - 20 g;
  • Powdered sugar for dusting.

Preparation:

  1. Defrost the finished puff pastry. Sprinkle flour on the work surface (so that the dough does not stick) and roll out the puff pastry on it into a very thin rectangular layer. Then you need to cut the layer into rectangles or squares about 10 by 10 centimeters in size.
  2. After that, you need to start preparing the curd-cherry filling. Wash the cherries and remove the seeds from them. If the cherries were frozen, defrost them. Place the cherries on a plate and cover with sugar, stir. The cherries should absorb the sugar and extract the juice. Wait until the cherry is sweet.
  3. Then you need to prepare the curd. If the grains of cottage cheese are too large, then it needs to be grinded or cranked through a meat grinder. Put sour cream in the crushed curd paste and mix. Pour the curd paste into the berries with sugar and stir gently so as not to crush the cherries. Taste the cherry-curd filling, if you wish, you can add more sugar. But you need to take into account that chocolate will also add sweetness to the buns.
  4. Now you need to collect the puffs. Place the filling and one chocolate wedge on one side of the dough. In the oven, the chocolate will melt and envelop the puffs from the inside. Pinch the cut of the pie and press down with a fork. The edges will be ribbed.
  5. Place the collected puffs on a greased baking sheet. On top with a silicone brush, smear the puffs with whipped egg yolk, this is necessary so that the crust of the puffs does not dry out and they become golden and ruddy.
  6. Put the puffs to bake in the oven at a temperature of about 200 degrees. Determine the readiness of the baked puffs by the color of the crusts (should be browned).
  7. Sprinkle the finished buns with powdered sugar on top for beauty.
