It is necessary

  • - 55 g of wholemeal flour;
  • - 55 g self-rising flour;
  • - 85 g of sugar;
  • - 55 g of rice flour;
  • - 30 g pecans;
  • - zest of 1 orange;
  • - 4 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • - 1 large egg;
  • - 24 halves of pecans or walnuts for garnish.

Instructions

Step 1

Sift all three flours into a bowl and mix with sugar and zest. Coarsely chop the pecans with a knife or crush them with a rolling pin. Add to the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and stir.

Step 2

Beat the egg and vegetable oil separately in a small bowl. Pour the liquid dough ingredients to dry and mix with a fork until a doughy mass is obtained.

Step 3

Knead the dough until smooth, roll into a sausage about 30 cm long. Wrap in plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours (the dough can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days - keep in mind if you want to bake cookies for the festive table!).

Step 4

Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Unroll the dough and shape it into a flavorful sausage again, if necessary.

Step 5

With a sharpened knife, cut the workpiece into 24 pieces - future cookies. Spread them loosely on two baking sheets lined with baking paper. On each circle, place half a pecan or walnut, lightly pressing them into the dough.

Step 6

Place in oven for about 10 minutes, until hardened and golden brown. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in a sealed container (preferably consumed within 5 days).
