Both brown and white sugar are equally suitable for a homemade halva recipe. You can take dark or milk chocolate - this does not particularly affect the taste. In the refrigerator, such a sweet delicacy is stored for a long time. The rich taste of roasted sesame seeds gives halva a pleasant nutty flavor. A wonderful oriental treat with a cup of coffee.
It is necessary
- - 350 g raw sesame seeds;
- - 345 g brown sugar;
- - 50 g of dark chocolate and flour;
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice;
- - 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence;
- - butter.
Instructions
Step 1
Break the chocolate into pieces, melt in a water bath or in the microwave. Grind the sesame seeds in a coffee grinder, do not overdo it - you should get crumb, not flour.
Step 2
Pour 160 ml of plain water into a deep-bottomed saucepan, add sugar, lemon juice, stir. Bring the syrup to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes, stirring the mixture.
Step 3
Fry the flour in a dry skillet until golden brown. Add ground sesame seeds to it. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The mixture should become a beautiful golden cream color and a pleasant roasted sesame scent will appear.
Step 4
Turn off the heat under sweet syrup, pour hot sesame mixture into it, stir. Add the vanilla chocolate and knead with a wooden spoon.
Step 5
Coat the form with butter, you can cover the form with cling film. Put the almost cooled mass into it, smooth it out, the layer thickness should be no more than 2.5 centimeters. Using a knife, cut the halva into pieces of the desired size. Put it in the refrigerator until it hardens completely.
Step 6
Decorate the finished halva with melted chocolate or coconut. Serve chilled. Halva made from sesame seeds with chocolate keeps its shape well, does not spread, does not stick to hands and teeth at all.
