Lingonberry is not only very tasty, but also extremely useful berry, while its medicinal properties are preserved even after heat treatment. Lingonberry jam contains many different vitamins, has antipyretic effect and serves as an excellent prevention of colds.
Classic lingonberry jam
The classic version of making lingonberry jam is quite simple. This recipe does not use other berries and fruits, which allows you to fully enjoy the unique taste of ripe lingonberries.
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg of lingonberries;
- 250 ml of water;
- 500 g granulated sugar.
Preparation:
Rinse the fresh lingonberry berries thoroughly under running water and clean them from the tails. Fill the pot with water and pour the lingonberries into it. Let the berries boil a little, then add sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, then cook for another 15 minutes. Remove the foam from the surface of the jam, pour it into clean jars, roll it up and remove it to cool.
Lingonberry jam with apples
Lingonberry jam is very tasty in itself, however, if you add other berries or fruits to it, it will acquire a more interesting and rich taste. For example, lingonberry and apple jam turns out to be incredibly tasty. In addition, in terms of its healing properties, this delicacy is in no way inferior to raspberry jam.
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg of lingonberries;
- 1 kg of apples;
- 200 ml of water;
- 700 g granulated sugar.
Preparation:
Wash lingonberries and clean them of leaves, tails and other debris. Wash the apples, peel them and cut them into medium-sized cubes. We put a pot of water on the stove, when the liquid boils, dip the lingonberries into it and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add the chopped apples to the pan and cook for another 10 minutes, without stopping to stir. Pour sugar into the resulting mixture and cook again for 10 minutes. Pour the finished lingonberry-apple jam into hot sterilized jars and roll up.
Lingonberry jam with blackberries and honey
The combination of two wild berries - lingonberry and blackberry - gives the jam a unique slightly sour taste that can surprise even the most demanding gourmets.
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg of lingonberries;
- 1 kg of blackberries;
- 200 ml of honey;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice;
- 400 ml of water.
Preparation:
Wash the berries under running water and remove the tails. Fill a saucepan with water, put it on a slow fire, pour out the washed berries and add honey. Then bring the water to a boil and cook the mixture for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the lingonberry-blackberry jam from the heat, add lemon juice to it, alter everything thoroughly and let it cool to room temperature. Pour the finished delicacy into jars and tighten the lids.
Lingonberry jam with dried apricots
By combining lingonberries and dried apricots in one recipe, we get not only a very useful product that will save you during a flu epidemic, but also a wonderful delicacy with an exotic taste.
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg of lingonberries;
- 600 g dried apricots;
- 0.5 kg of granulated sugar.
Preparation:
We thoroughly wash the lingonberries, cleaning them from the tails. My dried apricots and cut into small pieces. We place the berries in a saucepan, fill them with water and cook over low heat until boiling. Pour sugar and pieces of dried apricots into a saucepan, after which we prepare the jam for about 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly and removing the foam formed on the surface. We pack the ready-made lingonberry and dried apricot jam in jars, roll up and remove until winter.
