Apple puffs are considered one of the quickest baking recipes. Even if you decide to bake such puffs for the first time, then you should not worry, since everything will definitely work out, because cooking this dish is quite simple.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - flour - 400 g;
- - butter - 400 g;
- - 4 egg yolks;
- - dry white wine - 100 g;
- - sour cream of any fat content - 0.5 cups;
- - salt - 1 tsp.
- For filling:
- - 7 medium apples;
- - icing sugar - 6 tsp;
- - ground cinnamon - 1 tsp;
- - any jam - 6 tsp.
Instructions
Step 1
Combine flour, salt, wine, yolks and sour cream and knead until the dough comes off your hands easily. Leave it for about 20 minutes, just cover it with a towel on top. Next, roll out a layer 0.5 cm thick, put a piece of butter in the middle, spread it, roll the layer twice and put butter on top again.
Step 2
Now fold the layer again and only after that pinch all the edges and roll it out again. Only the cake should be as thin as possible, and do not allow the butter to break through the edges of the dough. At the end, roll the cake 4 times, leave it for 10 minutes and roll it out again. Repeat this procedure 4 times, but the last time the dough should be rolled out 2-3 mm.
Step 3
Take apples that are not too large, but the main thing is that they belong to the sweet variety, peel and seeds. Just don't core out the entire apple. At the same time, mix the selected jam, icing sugar and cinnamon until smooth. Then put 2 tablespoons of the mixture in each apple.
Step 4
Roll out the finished puff pastry in the form of a layer, the thickness of which should not exceed 3 mm, then cut it into small squares corresponding to the size of the selected apples. Wrap one apple in each of these squares.
Step 5
Put the resulting `` bags '' on a baking sheet slightly moistened with water, so that the seams are at the bottom. Grease them a little with an egg on top and send them to an oven preheated to 200 degrees and keep the puffs there until they become golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar at the end.
