A dietary recipe for cooking delicious fish - a minimum of oil, but a maximum of taste and an abundance of spices! The result is a delicate fish with a southern flavor. It remains delicious even when cold.
It is necessary
- - 500 g cod steak;
- - 150 ml of water;
- - 2 large tomatoes;
- - 7 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 onion;
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of wine vinegar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of tomato paste;
- - a bunch of cilantro;
- - sugar, salt, pepper, chili, lemon juice, a handful of walnuts.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a cod steak, rinse it, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice and set aside for now.
Step 2
Peel the garlic and onions, cut the onion into rings, and the garlic into slices, fry together in a preheated pan with a little oil. Do not overcook the vegetables; they should remain a little crispy.
Step 3
Cut the tomatoes into cubes, chop the nuts with a sharp knife, chop the chili and send everything together in a skillet with onions and garlic. Add a spoonful of tomato paste, pepper and salt to taste, add sugar, pour in 150 ml of water and stir. Cover the pan with a lid, simmer for 10 minutes over very low heat.
Step 4
Place the pieces of fish in the sauce so that the fish is at the bottom of the pan and the sauce covers the fish. Pour wine vinegar into the fish. Cover, simmer for 10 minutes. Taste for salt and sugar - add salt and sugar to taste if needed.
Step 5
A bunch of cilantro (if you don't like it, replace it with parsley), rinse, chop finely and send to the fish pan, simmer for another 10 minutes under a closed lid.
Step 6
Delicious Georgian-style fish is ready. It is equally tasty both warm and cold. As a side dish, you can boil rice or make a light salad of vegetables seasoned with olive or vegetable oil.
