Eclairs are a delicacy that many people love since childhood. These delicious cream custards are perfect for holiday teas. But you can improve them by adding delicious chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 400 g vanilla ice cream.
- For choux pastry:
- - 250 ml of water;
- - 160 g flour;
- - 5 eggs;
- - 100 g of butter;
- - a pinch of salt.
- For the chocolate sauce:
- - 100 g of dark chocolate;
- - a glass of heavy cream;
- - 3/4 cup sugar;
- - 40 g of butter;
- - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of corn syrup.
Instructions
Step 1
The choux pastry should be prepared first. Bring oil and water to a boil, add a pinch of salt. Add flour little by little, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cool. Beat in eggs one at a time, stirring the mixture after each until smooth.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Spread the dough on a baking sheet at a distance of 5 cm. Spread out with a pastry syringe in small strips or with a teaspoon. Bake eclairs for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Do not open the oven while baking.
Step 3
While the eclairs are cooking, make the chocolate sauce. Grind the chocolate in a blender until finely crumbled.
Step 4
Combine sugar, cream, and corn syrup in a small saucepan. The syrup needs to be added to obtain a more uniform texture in the sauce. Bring to a boil over low heat.
Step 5
Pour the hot butter mixture into a blender to the chocolate, add the vanilla extract and butter, cut into pieces. Mix until smooth.
Step 6
Cut ready-made custard cakes into halves, fill with ice cream, top with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately until the ice cream begins to melt.
