Red lentils in India are a staple food in the fast. As you already understood, masur-dal is a dish of Indian cuisine, it got its name in honor of the red lentil variety of the same name.
It is necessary
- For two servings:
- - 160 g of red lentil masur-dal;
- - 50 g onions;
- - 40 ml of vegetable oil;
- - 30 g of any nuts;
- - 20 g of dried apricots;
- - salt, curry, herbs, spices to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, fry chopped onions in it.
Step 2
Chop dried apricots and selected nuts randomly.
Step 3
Chop fresh herbs.
Step 4
Put water to boil, salt it a little, boil the lentils.
Step 5
Five minutes before the end of cooking the lentils, add the nuts and dried apricots to the pan.
Step 6
Then send the fried onions, boil together for one minute. Add chopped herbs, spices, stir. Leave to infuse for 5 minutes.
Step 7
If you are fasting, then serve the dish as the main one, if you are allowed to eat meat, then this Indian dish can be served with fried fish.
