Not only on a holiday, but on any weekday, you can please your husband with dishes that will especially suit his taste. It is best to prepare an interesting hot meat dish, as well as a dessert with a rich taste, since most men love sweets as much as women.
Veal in beer
You will need:
- 1 kg of veal;
- 800 g of potatoes;
- 4 medium carrots;
- 2 onions;
- 2-3 cloves of garlic;
- a mixture of dried Provencal herbs;
- 40 g of raisins;
- 3 tbsp. flour;
- 250 ml of light beer;
- vegetable oil;
- salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the meat, lightly beat and chop into cubes with a side of not more than 1, 5 cm. Dry the meat and roll in flour. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and fry the veal in it for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Set aside the meat, and put onion and garlic in its place and cook for 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat, add meat and Provencal herbs, season with salt and pepper and top with beer. Cover the meat and simmer over medium heat for half an hour. Peel the carrots and raisins, add them to the pan, add water if necessary and cook for another 30 minutes.
Peel the potatoes, cut into strips. Fry it in vegetable oil in a skillet or deep fryer and then salt. Serve the stew with fried potatoes.
Also, if desired, you can serve a portion of cabbage salad seasoned with vegetable oil to the stew.
Chocolate muffins with honey
These delicious muffins, when cooked correctly, remain slightly runny on the inside. It is best to prepare them for your husband just before serving and serve hot.
You will need:
- 60 g of dark chocolate;
- 60 g of sugar;
- 2 eggs;
- 75 g butter;
- 25 g flour;
- 25 g of ground almonds;
- 1 tbsp. honey.
Creamy ice cream without additives works well with chocolate muffins.
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt in a steam bath or microwave. Mix flour, sugar and chopped almonds, add these ingredients to the chocolate. Pour melted butter and honey there. Break the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites, and put the whites with the rest of the ingredients and mix so that there are no lumps. Place the chocolate mass in greased baking tins. The dough should be no more than 2/3 of the pan for the muffins to rise. Preheat the oven and bake the dessert in it for 7-8 minutes. The muffins should be firm on top. Ready-made baked goods can be removed from the mold or served directly in it. You can also garnish the muffins with ground nuts, liquid chocolate, or whipped cream if you wish. It is best to serve this dessert with bergamot or mint tea.
