The casserole prepared according to this recipe will appeal even to those who do not really like zucchini, since they are practically not felt in it. The main role in this dish is played by processed cheese, so you should choose it with great care.
It is necessary
- - young zucchini - 700 g;
- - processed cheese - 200 g;
- - onions - 1 pc;
- - dry Mediterranean herbs - 1 tsp;
- - refined vegetable oil - 4 tbsp. l;
- - eggs - 3 pcs.;
- - ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the courgettes, trim the edges and cut into thin circles. Cut the processed cheese into plates using a sharp knife oiled with vegetable oil. Peel and cut onions into thin half rings.
Step 2
Place the zucchini in a deep large bowl, add half rings of onion and slices of processed cheese. Add salt, pepper and Mediterranean herbal mixture. Pour the sunflower oil into a bowl and mix all the ingredients gently. It is best to do this not with a spoon, but with your hands.
Step 3
Transfer the contents of the bowl to a saucepan and place over low heat. Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the cheese melt completely, making sure to stir regularly.
Step 4
Whisk the eggs thoroughly until smooth. Add the resulting egg mixture to the courgettes, mix well and place the contents of the saucepan in a baking dish.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the zucchini dish in it. Bake for about 50 minutes, until a nice golden brown crust is formed.
Step 6
Cool the prepared zucchini casserole and remove from the mold, placing on a flat dish. Serve the casserole, cut into portions and garnish with fresh herbs.
