The name "grated pie" is due to the fact that for its correct preparation, the top layer must be grated with a grater. You need to cook a grated pie only from shortcrust pastry, but absolutely any ingredients (fruits, berries, jam) can be used for the filling. With apples, this dessert turns out to be fragrant, with a sweet and sour taste.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 3 tablespoons of sifted flour;
- - 2 eggs, preferably homemade;
- - one third of a glass of sugar;
- - 250 grams of mayonnaise;
- - 150 grams of margarine or butter;
- - soda slaked with vinegar.
- For filling:
- - 3 medium apples;
- - 10 tablespoons of sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Take 2 eggs, beat into a deep bowl and beat with a whisk or mixer until fluffy, homogeneous foam forms. Add sugar gradually to the resulting mass and continue beating until a pleasant white color is formed.
Step 2
Melt butter or margarine, take flour (sifted) and add to the beaten eggs. Make slaked baking soda and mayonnaise. Add all these ingredients to the total mass and start kneading the dough.
Step 3
Roll the dough into a ball and remove in a cold place until a solid homogeneous mass is formed. The dough should be very dense and firm, so that later you can grate it with a grater.

Wash the apples, if the skin is thick - peel, cut into several pieces and cut into thin slices across.
After cooling, divide the dough into three parts, two of which are used for the bottom layer of the cake, one for the top layer. Use a thin layer of fingers to knead the two pieces of dough over the entire surface of the baking dish and form a kind of rim.
