This cake is cooked in butter and turns out to be as tender as possible. Delicious lemon syrup impregnates the cake crust. And to make the baked goods incredibly beautiful, glazed lemon wedges and sugar icing are used.

- Ingredients for a 900 g loaf form:
- - butter - 175 g;
- - icing sugar - 175 g;
- - 3 eggs;
- - flour - 225 g;
- - a teaspoon of baking powder;
- - 2 spoons of milk;
- - zest of 1 lemon;
- - 6 tablespoons of lemon juice;
- - 3 tablespoons of molasses (or liquid honey).
- For decoration:
- - lemon;
- - 50 g of sugar;
- - 15 ml of lemon juice;
- - 50 g of icing sugar;
- - cold water.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease the loaf form with a very thin layer of butter and sprinkle with a small amount of flour.
Step 2
Beat the eggs lightly. Grind the butter and icing sugar into a fluffy mass, add eggs in small portions.
Step 3
Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl with butter, eggs and sugar, mix gently. Add milk, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and zest. Once again, gently mix the dough and put it in a mold, leveling the surface.
Step 4
We bake the cake in the oven for an hour, be sure to check the readiness with a wooden skewer or a toothpick.
Step 5
While the cake is baking, cut the lemon into very thin circles, and the circles - in half. Pour 100 ml of water into a saucepan or ladle, dissolve 50 g of sugar in it and spread the lemon wedges. Boil the syrup over low heat for 10 minutes so that it begins to thicken. We remove the lemon slices from the heat, let them cool, put them on a paper towel so that they dry.
Step 6
A few minutes before the dough is ready, heat 3 tablespoons of lemon juice with molasses. In the finished cake we make punctures with a knitting needle or a wooden skewer for kebabs, pour with lemon syrup.

We cool the cake in the form, at this time we prepare the icing: mix the lemon juice with powdered sugar and a little cold water. We shift the cupcake to a dish, pour the icing in neat strips, put lemon slices on top.
