Fried chicken fillet cubes in honey-lemon sauce is a very delicate and aromatic dish, garnished with herbs and sesame seeds and served with boiled crumbly rice. Preparing such a dish is quite simple and easy. Note that any salad made from fresh vegetables will go well with this dish.
Ingredients:
- 3 chicken breasts;
- 1 lemon;
- 3 tbsp. l. honey;
- 3 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
- 1 tsp sesame seeds;
- 1 tbsp. l. lemon peel;
- 1 tbsp. l. corn starch;
- 3 tbsp. l. rice vinegar;
- 1 tbsp. vegetable or chicken broth;
- 1 tbsp. rice;
- greens of onions or parsley.
Preparation:
- Wash the chicken breasts under running water, dry slightly, cut into small cubes and put in a deep bowl.
- Pour soy sauce and rice vinegar there, mix everything thoroughly with your hands and send for 1 hour to the refrigerator for pickling. If rice vinegar is not available, you can replace it with a mixture of wine vinegar, a pinch of salt and a spoonful of sugar.
- After an hour, pour sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it up.
- Remove the marinated cubes of meat from the refrigerator, squeeze a little with your hands, throw in hot oil, quickly fry and take out into a bowl.
- Leave a frying pan with butter from under the meat to heat over low heat.
- First extract the zest from the lemon (using a grater), and then the juice. In a bowl, mix honey and lemon juice.
- Pour broth and honey-lemon mixture into a frying pan, add lemon zest and starch. Mix this mass, heat and cook until thickened. As a result, you should get a thick sweet and sour sauce. At the same time, the taste of the finished sauce should be balanced. If it is sour, then it is recommended to correct it with a small amount of honey.
- Put the fried fillets in the thickened sauce and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Rinse the rice and boil until tender, following the instructions on the package.
- Sprinkle the finished honey-lemon chicken with rice on plates, sprinkle with sesame seeds, garnish with finely chopped onions or parsley leaves, serve hot.
