There are many different recipes for Mimosa salad. Today I suggest trying it with herring. The taste of this variant is unusual and unlike any salad.
It is necessary
- - potatoes 2-3 pcs.
- - carrots 2 pcs.
- - eggs 5 pcs.
- - onion 1 pc.
- - mayonnaise 300 g
- - half a lemon
- - herring fillet 2 pcs.
- - salt pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Boil potatoes, carrots and eggs until tender and peel.
Carefully divide the eggs into whites and yolks.
Finely chop the onion and pour over the lemon juice. Leave the onion to marinate for a few minutes.

Let's start preparing the salad.
Grate all vegetables and protein on a coarse grater.
Cut herring fillets into small pieces.
Step 3
Let's prepare a mold for our salad. You can use a regular glass salad bowl, or you can also use a split baking dish. It is convenient to make this kind of salads in it, and just remove it before serving.
The salad is beautifully shaped.
Step 4
Put the baking dish on a dish and start gradually spreading the Mimosa salad.
Put the herring fillets on the bottom and cover everything with mayonnaise.
Step 5
Put the onion on top of the herring with mayonnaise, then the protein and grease everything with mayonnaise.
Step 6
The next layer is carrots and mayonnaise again.
Step 7
The next layer is potatoes and mayonnaise. Potatoes can be slightly salted and pepper to taste.
Step 8
Well, and the last layer of our salad - yolks, grated on a fine grater.
Cover the salad with plastic wrap and let it soak a little in the refrigerator.
