It turns out that marmalade can be more than just a dessert. From very unusual ingredients, you can make delicious spicy marmalade, which can be served as a sauce for meat and fish.
Food preparation
To prepare such an unusual marmalade, you will need: 12 chili peppers, 6 sweet peppers, 6 apples, 2 tbsp. l. apple cider vinegar, 500 g granulated sugar, 3 cloves, 5 g allspice, 1 tsp. dry coriander.
Preparation
Wash chili peppers and sweet peppers under running water, dry, remove seeds and stalks. Peel the apples, remove the core from each fruit. Cut all ingredients into small pieces and place in a saucepan. Fill the food with the required amount of granulated sugar, stir the contents of the pan and leave overnight, covering the container with a kitchen towel. During this time, a sufficient amount of juice will be released from the peppers and apples.
In the morning, place the saucepan over medium heat, bring the ingredients to a boil, then cook for 1 hour. At this time, crush the cloves, coriander and allspice, and put the spices in a saucepan. Cook the marmalade for another 10-15 minutes.
Beat the cooled mass with a blender until smooth, pour in the apple cider vinegar and mix well. Bring the sauce to a boil again and place in clean, dry jars.
The chili marmalade is ready! Serve with meat and fish dishes, as well as baked vegetables.
