Chocolate sausage is one of the most popular sweets of the USSR times. This recipe was loved not only because an interesting dish can be created from ordinary products. The simplicity of preparation allowed even children to quickly make this dessert.
You can make a basic version of chocolate sausage, and then try more sophisticated recipes that advise adding nuts, candied fruit, biscuit, condensed milk. The basic recipe suggests taking the following ingredients:
- 400 g of cookies;
- 300 g butter;
- 6 tbsp. cocoa;
- 150 g granulated sugar.
Grind the cookies into crumbs with your hands or pass through a meat grinder. You can rub it on a grater.
When grating cookies, be careful not to cut your fingers on the sharp edges of the holes.
There are not only these ways to prepare the main ingredient. Place it in portions in a sturdy plastic bag, crush it by hand. Also, a blender will help you turn cookies into crumbs in a few seconds.
Divide the oil into several parts, place it in a saucepan, melt over low heat. After you have completed this task, add sugar, cocoa and stir. Pour the warm liquid base into the crushed cookies, stir well. Put the mass on cling film or in a plastic bag, shape the sausage to the desired length and size. You can cook from a given number of ingredients not one, but two or three smaller sizes.
Place the sweetness in the refrigerator for 6 hours to harden to the desired consistency. If you want to taste it as quickly as possible, send it to the freezer for 2.5 hours. After that, take it out, put it on a flat dish, you can taste it.
If the first recipe seems too high in calories to you, you can reduce this figure by preparing a dessert with slightly different foods. Here's what you need:
- 400 g of cookies;
- 150 g butter;
- 150 g granulated sugar;
- 120 g of milk;
- 4 tablespoons cocoa.
Grind the cookies in any of the above ways. Pour milk into another bowl, put cocoa, sugar, butter. Put on medium heat, stir occasionally. Heat until all this becomes a homogeneous state, then pour into the cookies, stir. Form a sausage from the mass (it will turn out pretty cool), wrap it in cellophane, put it in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
If you want to add variety to these recipes, add nuts. To do this, take 100 g of them for 400 g of cookies. If you have peeled peanuts, pre-fry them in a dry frying pan for 15 minutes over low heat. When the pan is hot, stir the contents frequently with a spoon. After that, the nuts need to be cooled, the husks must be removed from them.
You can crush peanuts and hazelnuts with a crush, almonds and walnuts - cut with a knife.
You do not need to grind any nuts into flour, their pieces should be felt.
Add chopped nuts to cookie crumbs, then pour in hot creamy mixture, stir. Next, cook as described above.
An interesting recipe for chocolate sausage with biscuit. Bake it with 6 eggs, a glass of flour and 200 g of sugar. Beat the yolks with sugar, add flour, mix. Beat the whites with a pinch of salt, put on the yolk dough, mix gently. Pour the dough on an oiled baking sheet in a layer of 3 cm, place it in an oven preheated to 180 ° C, bake for 20-25 minutes. When the dough is browned, remove it. Immediately lay out the finished cookie mass in an even layer, roll up, cool and place in the refrigerator.
