Easter is a great and significant holiday for our people. The traditional Easter treat - cottage cheese Easter - is not prepared for long and simply, but it brings a lot of joy, because this dish is prepared only once a year.

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg of fatty cottage cheese;
  • 300 g fat sour cream;
  • 200 g butter;
  • 1-2 cups of sugar;
  • 200 g raisins (100 g light and dark);
  • 150 g of nuts (any will do);
  • 200 g dried apricots or prunes;
  • vanillin (or vanilla sugar), gauze.

For decoration:

candied fruits, dried fruits, Easter sprinkles, marmalade

Preparation:

  1. We take the butter out of the refrigerator 1 hour before we start cooking - it should be soft, slightly melted.
  2. Fill the dried fruits with hot water, let them steam for about 20 minutes, then drain the water, and dry the dried fruits on a towel or colander.
  3. Rub the cottage cheese thoroughly through a sieve or through a meat grinder.
  4. Cut dried apricots or prunes into small pieces (you can do both), crush the nuts with a rolling pin or blender. Then all these ingredients, not forgetting about the raisins, add to the curd, mix.
  5. Add softened butter, sour cream, sugar to taste, vanillin or a bag of vanilla sugar to the curd. We knead well.
  6. Now we need to prepare our paso-box. To do this, we turn it over so that the base is on top, set it in a bowl or other container. Then we cover it with wet gauze, folded in half, so that the edges of the gauze hang down almost along the entire length of the edges of the pasochny.
  7. Now we spread the curd mass in a mold, wrap it with gauze, wrapping the edges well.
  8. In order for Easter to compact well inside, we will need a press. A bottle or pot of water is suitable as it. We put a press on the base of the pasochny and send this whole structure to the refrigerator overnight (at least 10-12 hours).
  9. After the specified period, Easter is ready. We remove the press, transfer the pasochny to the dish. We disassemble it right there; in the finished form, the walls can be easily disassembled. If you used other devices, then just turn it over onto a dish. Separate the gauze carefully.
  10. Now you can start decorating. Here, the imagination of every hostess can roam freely. Almost anything will do: candied fruits, nuts, beads and dried fruits.
