If you want something tasty, try making a dish made from chocolate and nuts. This interlayer cake tastes good and looks beautiful. Better to make it dry - you get the most delicate and crumbly crouton.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - flour - 0.5 cups;
- - baking powder - 1 tsp;
- - sugar - 1/4 cup;
- - egg - 1 pc.
- Chocolate-nut layer:
- - starch - 1 tsp;
- - milk - 1/3 cup;
- - nuts - 0.5 cups;
- - salt - a pinch;
- - chocolate - 100 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Beat the sugar and egg until frothy. Add flour and baking powder, mix well. Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake until tender at 200oC, until lightly browned.
Step 2
Remove the baking sheet from the oven, cut the cake. Make sure the shapes are the same. You can cut circles with a thin-walled glass; for more complex shapes, use steel molds.
Step 3
If you want to make the cake crispy and dry, leave the figurines to cool on the baking sheet. If you need a soft crust, then cover the figurines with a damp kitchen towel and leave to cool.
Step 4
For moisture and juiciness, moisten the figurines with syrup, with cognac added to it. Note that this will make it more difficult to apply the chocolate interlayer.
Step 5
Grind the nuts in a coffee grinder. Better let it be peeled almonds or hazelnuts. Due to the skin, walnuts will give bitterness.
Step 6
Break off two slices from the chocolate bar - they will be needed for decoration. Pour milk into a small saucepan, stir in salt, starch. Place the broken chocolate in pieces. If you are using dark chocolate, you can add sugar.
Step 7
Put on low heat and heat until the chocolate is completely dissolved. Add nuts, stir. Remove the saucepan from heat, place in a bowl of boiling water. This is necessary so that the paste does not freeze.
Step 8
Lubricate the bottoms of the figures with chocolate-nut paste and glue them in pairs. You can dry the dough scraps, crush and decorate the sides of the cakes with the resulting crumbs. Decorate the top of the cakes with the set aside chocolate wedges, after melting them.
