Souvlaki are Greek-style kebabs, which are prepared from almost any meat. The main feature of juicy and tender meat is a special marinade, in which it is recommended to keep the kebab for 4 hours, or better all night.

It is necessary

  • - 2 kg of fresh pork (neck, tenderloin)
  • - 5 tbsp. olive or sunflower oil
  • - spices
  • - 4 cloves of garlic
  • - 2 onions
  • - 2 bell peppers
  • - juice of one lemon

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the meat, dry it with paper towels or a towel, cut into small portions. In a deep bowl, combine the olive oil and oregano, chop the garlic with a press and add to the marinade.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut into rings of medium thickness. Peel the bell peppers from the roots, remove the seeds and partitions and also chop into rings. Combine the chopped meat, onion and pepper in a saucepan and set aside in a cold place for 3-4 hours to marinate well.

Step 3

String souvlaki on wooden skewers (skewers), alternating meat with vegetable rings. Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees and bake the meat until tender, this will take you 30-35 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the prepared skewers with lemon juice and sprinkle with dry oregano.
