The classic Napoleon cake recipe is one that causes a lot of controversy. But is it worth breaking spears? Recognize that the people's love for the flaky masterpiece of French cuisine has turned a restaurant dessert into a homemade delicacy, and home cooking is allowed to deviate from strict canons. The main thing is that the taste meets expectations.

- - 125 ml of condensed milk;
- - 1 tbsp. spoon of brandy.
Instructions
Step 1
Start by making a yeast-free puff pastry. Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan and melt the butter over low heat. Add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar, add honey. Heat, stirring occasionally, for about 4-5 minutes. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Step 2
While stirring, add sour cream to the butter and sugar mixture. Heat for no more than one minute and then remove from heat. Take a mixer with a kneading attachment. Add chicken eggs to a saucepan and knead until smooth.
Step 3
Sift the flour along with the baking powder and add in a thin stream, continuing to knead. Add cognac and season with salt. Now knead a soft, pliable dough by hand. When it stops sticking to your hands, divide into eight identical pieces and roll each into a compact ball. Wrap them in cling film and refrigerate for an hour or more.
Step 4
Take out the balls of dough one at a time. Roll each into a circle on a lightly floured work surface, prick with a fork and send to an oven preheated to 180-190 ° C for 5-7 minutes, placing it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
