Take two medium-sized onions and peel them. To avoid the urge to cry during cutting, rinse the onion under running cold water. Do the same with the knife. Then chop the vegetable finely. Heat vegetable or olive oil in a frying pan, pour chopped onion into it. Fry it over moderate heat until golden brown.

Peel about 500 g of carrots, cut the root vegetable into large cubes. Add to the previously fried onions. Put bay leaf and pepper to taste there, pour in 2 tablespoons. vegetable broth. Close the container with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. Then combine the resulting mixture with the remaining broth and boil the broth for 15 minutes. Remove the vegetables from the broth, strain them through a sieve or grind them in a blender until they form a mushy mass, then place them back in the broth.

Take 3 oranges, peel them. Then squeeze juice out of them, for this you can use a juicer or regular cheesecloth. Add the resulting liquid to the soup. Season with salt, add a little pepper and 1 tbsp. honey. You can also put greens (dill, parsley, onions) there. Then put the pot on the fire and bring the soup to a boil.
