Instructions

Step 1

Wash 2 kg of apples. For making jam, it is better to take ranetki so that it turns out to be bright both in color and in taste. After that, cut the apples into 4 pieces, completely peeling them.

Step 2

Start making sugar syrup: Mix 300 ml of water and 300 g of sugar. Bring this mixture to a boil. If you use sweeter apples for making jam, then you need to reduce the amount of sugar.

Step 3

Pour the previously prepared fruit with hot boiled sugar syrup. Put the future jam on the stove. You cannot mix the contents of the pan while it is cooking, so take a large container.

Step 4

At the same time, cut half a medium lemon into small wedges (you do not need to remove the zest) and add it to the apples. After 5 minutes of boiling, remove the foam that gradually appears during cooking with a spoon.

Step 5

Next, you need to turn off the jam and let it cool slightly, then boil again for 5-10 minutes. Repeat this action 3 times.

Step 6

Sterilize the jars. After the jam is cooked, pour it over the previously prepared jars, tighten the lids and place in a warm place upside down. After 10 hours, turn the cans over to their normal position. The jam is ready!
