Let's prepare a delicious fish hodgepodge from pink salmon and hake. You will need the following ingredients:

- pink salmon - 300 g;

- hake - 400 g;

- onions - 1 pc.;

- carrots - 2 pcs.;

- cucumbers (it is better to take salted) - 3 pcs.;

- lemon - 1 pc.;

- olives - 10 pcs.;

- tomato paste (or tomatoes) - 2 tbsp. l.;

- butter;

- capers - 30 g;

- bay leaves - 2 pcs.;

- salt, peppercorns - to taste;

- parsley - a few branches.

Rinse the saltwort fish with cold water and divide into portions, then put in a saucepan with cold water. Put the saucepan on the stove and bring the contents to a boil, skimming off the foam in a timely manner. Boil the broth for about 15 minutes, then let it cool, and after another 15 minutes, strain.

Pour the strained broth into a saucepan, divide the fish into meat and bones. Divide the meat into small pieces. Wash onions, peel and chop, then sauté in butter until soft. In the future, you can add tomato paste and continue to brown for another 5 minutes.

Peel the carrots, wash and cut into thin strips. Cut the potatoes into slices. Cut pickled cucumbers into cubes (it is best to take cucumbers with crispy pulp).

Heat the broth and put potatoes and carrots in it, cook for about 5 minutes, then add cucumbers and cook for another 10 minutes. Then add capers, onions, bay leaves, peppercorns and fish to the soup. Now cook the hodgepodge for about 5 minutes, do not forget to salt to taste.

The fish hodgepodge is ready. Pour the soup into bowls and place a slice of lemon, parsley and a few olives in each. Many people love fish hodgepodge along with thick sour cream.
