One of the favorite dishes from childhood is grandmother's dumplings. Children love to sit in the kitchen and watch the preparation of extraordinary dishes, as it always seems in childhood. Of course, there is nothing complicated in the recipe for making dumplings. But these memories of the magic pigtail that grandmother braided so cleverly on dumplings seem just fabulous.

Step 1
Make butter dough. Pour flour, salt into a deep bowl and cover with boiling water, stirring vigorously with a spoon so that the flour does not brew.

Sprinkle a little flour on the board, lay out the dough and continue kneading with your hands on the board, adding a couple more spoons of flour so that the dough does not stick to your hands. You should have a perfectly soft dough.

Cover it with a plate and let it rest for an hour.

Make the filling as you wish. It can be dumplings with cottage cheese, sauerkraut, and potatoes.

Then roll out the flagella, cut into pieces and roll out the cakes.
