Beer is an extremely democratic drink. Everyone, from presidents to students, loves beer. They love and drink, in general, as they have to. Meanwhile, in order to get maximum pleasure from beer, and not only from its taste, but also to enjoy the very process of drinking it, one can even say more - to join the mystery of drinking, certain rules must be observed.
How to drink beer correctly?
I must say that how many masters of this art (and drinking beer correctly is undoubtedly an art), there are so many opinions on this seemingly simple question.
First, what to drink from. Imagine a person drinking wine from the neck of a bottle. The associations are quite definite, aren't they?
From the neck, the beer goes straight into the esophagus, bypassing all the taste buds. That is, a person does not feel the taste of the drink, but literally just drinks alcohol.
Only special mugs and glasses! For low-foam varieties - conical with a wide neck, for unfiltered ones - tall glasses, also expanding towards the top. Such vessels will help to pour beer without excessive foam formation, and to accommodate the foam head, and fully reveal the aroma of the drink.
The second is temperature. Too cold - volatile substances stop evaporating, and the taste buds become numb and cannot convey the nuances of taste. Well, not everyone can withstand the sharp taste of warm beer. For light beers - 6-10 degrees, for dark beers - 9-10, for golden ales, porters, statutes and wheat beers - 12-13. And most importantly - never chill a noble drink in the freezer! The temperature should drop smoothly.
The third is how to pour. Many people know that beer is poured in a thin stream along the side of the glass. But beer without foam is not beer either. Therefore, shake the rest of the drink in the bottle and sharply add to the glass, already placed vertically. This will help not to lose the concentrated suspension of yeast residues from the bottom - such a simple operation will radically change the taste of wheat beer. Do not blow off the excess foam, but carefully remove it with a knife. A little secret, before pouring beer, moisten a glass from the inside with cold water.
The fourth is an appetizer. Of course, you can take any beer snack. But it is logical to choose what is customary in the homeland of the kind of beer that ends up in your glass. After all, the brewers have developed the taste of this variety for the optimal combination with the very appetizer that is popular in his country.
The fifth rule is that beer must not be mixed. Neither with extraneous liquids, ranging from cream, juice and syrup, and ending with wine, vodka, cognac and rum, nor with any other beer of different strength.
Well, and the last rule regarding how to drink beer correctly. You cannot drink beer during pregnancy, even non-alcoholic. Firstly, non-alcoholic beer also contains alcohol, just less of it (look carefully at the label). Alcohol, on the other hand, has a much stronger effect on the fetus than on the adult's body. A dose that puts the mother in a good mood sends the unborn child into a shock equivalent to loss of consciousness. Ultimately, the beer drinker gets an increased chance of premature birth, complications during the process, underweight newborn and even miscarriage. In addition, there are preservatives and additives in beer that are also far from good for your unborn child.
