It is easy to learn how to glaze cakes - just take note of a few tips and follow them conscientiously.

- Chocolate glaze
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup milk or cream
- 1 tsp vanilla essence;

Before you start glazing the cake, remove the crumbs from its surface and edges with a silicone brush, cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for several hours.
Step 2
Take out a dish for a cake or a special stand, wrap the edges with baking paper so that you do not have to wash them later or leave them inelegantly dripped.
Step 3
Some people think that it is logical and convenient to cover the cake with icing from top to bottom. This is not true. Take a pastry spatula and apply the frosting to the sides of your cake first, from bottom to top. Apply a thin layer of frosting first to "seal" the sides and avoid further crumbs getting into your ideal finish. Refrigerate the cake for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and apply the icing on top of it in an even thick layer, gently smooth the surface with a long spatula.
Step 5
Using a pastry spatula, apply a thick layer of icing to the sides of the cake, take a long spatula and, pressing it against the icing, circle around the cake. Smooth the joint of the side and top icing with a spatula, sprinkle a little water on the cake with a spray bottle and smooth any remaining irregularities with a spatula.
Step 6
Chocolate frosting In a large bowl, with a mixer, combine melted butter and cocoa powder on low speed. Gradually add the icing sugar, add lukewarm milk or cream, continue stirring. When the mixture is smooth, add the vanilla essence and salt. You can also add some aromatic alcoholic drinks (liqueurs, cognac, rum) to the glaze.
Step 7
White frosting Put butter, vanilla extract and vegetable oil in a bowl. Turn the mixer on low and start mixing, add one glass of powdered sugar and a tablespoon of milk. Mix thoroughly without changing gears. Add another cup of powder and a spoonful of milk. Mix again. Repeat until you run out of milk and powder. Add a drop of food coloring and beat on medium speed for literally one minute. The blue dye is the secret to a perfectly white glaze, it is he who should neutralize the yellow color of the butter.
