This salad is quite unusual, as one of its ingredients is millet groats. It is very lightweight and incredibly beneficial to the human body. There is nothing complicated in the preparation of the "Genghis Khan" salad.
Ingredients:
- 2 tomatoes;
- 2 apples;
- ½ lemon;
- 1 glass of millet groats;
- 1 bell pepper;
- 3 garlic cloves;
- 4 tablespoons sunflower oil;
- green onions, parsley and lettuce to taste;
- ground black pepper and salt.
Preparation:
- Millet groats should be sorted out, rinsed thoroughly and filled with clean cold water. It should be soaked for at least 60 minutes.
- Then you should prepare the apples. To do this, they are washed, peeled and cored. After that, the pulp is cut into small enough cubes.
- Next, you need to start preparing the tomatoes. By the way, they must be ripe. First you need to remove the skin from them. To do this, the washed vegetables must be scalded with boiling water. After that, the peel is very easy to remove.
- Greens also need to be washed and it is best to do this under running water. Then, using a sharp knife, they cut it finely. It is best not to cut lettuce leaves, but to tear them with your hands.
- The washed bell pepper should be cut in half and the baffled seeds removed. Then it must be cut into not very large pieces.
- Peel the garlic cloves and rinse them in running water. Squeeze the juice from the lemon. If you do not have a special device, then the easiest way to squeeze out the maximum amount of juice is to roll it around the table.
- After all the products are prepared, you can start preparing the salad itself. Take a salad bowl and place several washed, whole salad sheets on the bottom. Then prepared millet groats are laid on them (be sure to drain the liquid).
- All prepared vegetables, apples, herbs and garlic are also sent there. Salad must be salted and mixed gently. Top it with freshly squeezed lemon juice. The dish turns out to be very aromatic and, despite such an unusual composition, very tasty and appetizing.
