Dry the dill either whole stems or chopped. Spread or hang it in a well-ventilated area. To preserve the green color, avoid drying in direct sunlight. Store dried dill in glass jars under tightly closed lids in a dark, dry place.

Fresh dill can be stored for up to two weeks in the refrigerator in a tightly closed dry jar. Do not wash or wet it beforehand. So young dill will not lose color and freshness (and beneficial properties).

Rinse the dill under running water. Spread out and dry the twigs briefly. Chop finely. Spread a thin layer in a plastic bag, roll it tightly, releasing all the air, and send it to the freezer.
