They are grown on special farms, which reduces their cost, therefore, these mushrooms are also the most affordable for an ordinary citizen of the city. There are many dishes that can be prepared from champignons, and often it is not only the time and method of preparation that is important, but also the correct cutting of the mushrooms.

It is necessary

    • Champignon;
    • kitchen knife;
    • food processor;
    • cutting board;
    • bowl or deep plate.

Instructions

Step 1

If you purchased fresh mushrooms, rinse them in water first, unless you are going to dry them. To rinse, place the mushrooms in a bowl or saucepan and cover with water. Stir the mushrooms and drain. In case of heavy contamination, which is rare with store-bought mushrooms, rinse them in several waters.

Step 2

Frozen mushrooms must be defrosted before slicing. To do this, either leave them unpacked on a plate at room temperature for half an hour or an hour, or defrost them quickly with hot water. To do this, pour boiling water over the mushrooms in a deep plate. If they are not completely thawed, drain the water and refill them. This defrosting method is more suitable for the subsequent heat treatment of mushrooms. If you want to make a salad with raw mushrooms, it's best to buy them fresh.

Step 3

Start slicing the mushrooms. The method of cutting depends on what you are going to use the mushrooms for. If you want to stuff them, place them on a cutting board, carefully cut off the stem of the mushroom, remove the film connecting the cap and stem. Cut the legs into small cubes and add to the prepared minced meat for the caps.

Step 4

To dry, cut the mushrooms into thin slices along the side of the mushroom. This will help it dry faster and protect it from spoilage and mold that can develop inside the mushroom that is being dried whole. Very small mushrooms can be simply cut in half.

Step 5

For the stew, cut the mushrooms into cubes. Separate the leg from the cap. Cut the legs crosswise into three to four pieces. Also cut the hats into four or more pieces, depending on the size. Very large caps can also be cut perpendicular to the growth of the stem.

Step 6

For the mushroom sauce, chop the mushrooms very finely. You can use a food processor to do this. Place the mushrooms in there, close the lid and set the mode for finely chopping food.
