Mineral water "Essentuki" is famous for its unique healing and prophylactic properties. There are several types of "Essentuki", each of which is distinguished by a number corresponding to the number of the well from which the water was taken.
Mineral water "Essentuki" is extracted from several sources of the balneological resort Caucasian Mineral Waters. The most popular types of medicinal mineral waters are "Essentuki-4", "Essentuki-17", "Essentuki-2" and "Essentuki-20".
The number on the Essentukov label means the number of the well from which the water was extracted. Mineral water from each well differs in chemical composition and properties.
Essentuki-4
This mineral water is a medical table water, contains a complex of chlorides and hydrocarbons and has a mineralization of 8-10 grams of salt per liter. It is unique in its medicinal properties and has a general beneficial effect on the body.
Essentuki-17
Mineral water "Essentuki-17" is extracted from the seventeenth well, from a depth of more than one kilometer. It has no analogues in its gustatory and medicinal properties.
From the well, water flows through a special water supply system and is bottled directly on the spot. This is done so that during transportation in tanks it does not lose its healing properties.
On the way from the well to the bottle, water does not come into contact with air and retains in its composition a unique complex of volatile substances, including natural carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.
Mineralization of "Essentuki-17" is 11-13 grams of salt per liter. This mineral water is especially often used for the treatment and prevention of chronic gastritis, colitis, liver diseases and diabetes mellitus.
Essentuki-20
This mineral water belongs to table waters and has a low mineralization (no more than 2.5 grams per liter). In its composition "Essentuki-20" contains sulfates, chlorides, bicarbonates of calcium and sodium. Water is used to treat urinary tract inflammation.
Essentuki-2
Essentuki-2 is perfect as a drink that quenches thirst and stimulates appetite. It can also be used to prevent diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Features of mineral water treatment
As a rule, the course of treatment with "Essentuki" lasts from three to six weeks. It is recommended to take water on an empty stomach, one glass three times a day. Drink mineral water in small sips.
You should not prescribe yourself a mineral water treatment yourself. Medicinal waters can only be taken as directed by a doctor. In the case of certain diseases, the intake of mineral water is contraindicated.
